Know all men by these presents that we David Ham and Thomas Lyskowinski all of the County of Harrison and State of Indiana acknowledge ourselves indebted and bound unto J T Benson Post GAR No 527 a Volenttery [sic] belevlent [sic] Association under the laws of Indiana located in the Town of Lanesville Harrison County Indiana and known as J T Benson post No 527. Department of Indiana in the Sum of Fifty Dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be maid [sic] by the said members of J.T. Benson post, or to their successors in Office without any releif [sic] whatever from Valuation and appraisment [sic] laws of the State of Indiana we bind ourselves our heirs executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these p[r]esents sealed with our seals and dated the 9th day of January 1894 wheare [sic] the said David Ham has ben [sic] elected and appointed Post Quartermaster of said Post organized at Lanesville in Said county and State for the term of one year from the 9th day of January 1894 and to serve as such Quartermaster untill [sic] his successor in Office shall be duly elected and qualified and as such he shall collect and receive in to his posession [sic] and charge divers sums of money Books papers and other property of said Post, and is bound to keep and
